8. German Congress on Crime Prevention

The 8th German Congress on Crime Prevention took place on the 28th and 29th of April 2003 in Hanover.

The main topic of the Congress was Migration - Integration - Crime Prevention.

The main areas of the Congress were:

- the work place
- the family
- the community
- juvenile welfare services
- schools
- sports
- the media
- the police
- sentencing and its implementation
- the European perspective

Discussions took place in plenary sessions at the beginning and end of the Congress and also in workshops. At the same time there was a fair including presentations and displays and a series of individual events. The two plenary sessions as well a number of others were held in English and German.
