The 8th GERMAN CONGRESS ON CRIME PREVENTION took place from 28th to 29th April 2003 in Hanover.
The main topic of the Congress was Migration - Integration - Crime Prevention.
The main areas of the Congress were:
- the work place
- the family
- the community
- juvenile welfare services
- schools
- sports
- the media
- the police
- sentencing and their implementation
- the European perspective
Discussions took place in plenary sessions at the beginning and end of the Congress and also in workshops. Simoultaneously there was a fair including presentations and displays and a series of individual events. The two plenary sessions as well a number of others were held in English and German.
