- The 9th GERMAN CONGRESS ON CRIME PREVENTION was taken place in Stuttgart on 17th and 18th May 2004 in Stuttgart sponsored by the President of Baden-Wuerttemberg, Erwin Teufel.
- The main topic of the Congress was Community-based Crime Prevention, central aspects of which were covered systematically and in depth in 16 lectures and 9 workshops.
- A further 16 lectures and 9 workshops was offered in the Open Forum on various other current issues in the crime prevention field.
- There was a large exhibition area (1500 sq. m.) showing more than 100 projects and other initiatives.
- Additional activities including an on-stage special event programme rounded off the Congress.
